We all live in a digital world today and cybersecurity has become an essential need in India. Along with the glorious trajectory of the digital world, thera has also been an unprecedented rise in the number of cyber threats and cyber crimes. Terms like phishing attacks, malware, ransomware, and cyber frauds have become part of our regular vocabulary and hence it has become critical to safeguard our personal and confidential information.
Cyber attacks have led to financial losses, identity theft, and reputational damage for many unsuspecting people. There are also some series on OTT platforms based on true stories of cyber crimes.
To make matters worse, the accelerated digital transformation post Covid has made cyber threats a sad reality for many, especially people who are uneducated or unaware! Senior citizens are also an easy prey for offenders and we all collectively feel the need for strengthening India’s cybersecurity.

Need Of Cyber Security

It has become the need of the hour to ensure the safety and security of our digital infrastructure. Cybersecurity awareness and preparedness are crucial to protect individuals, businesses, and the nation’s digital assets.
Cybercrime has become a major challenge for governments and organizations, with millions of people falling prey to cyber frauds and scams. The program aims to create a safer digital environment by creating a pool of skilled cybersecurity professionals who can protect against cyber threats.

The “Mera Bharat Surakshit Bharat” scholarship will provide cybersecurity training to students especially from the economically weaker sections of society and create a pool of skilled cybersecurity professionals in India. They are on a mission to empower Indian students.

This Sonu Sood scholarship program offers a coveted cybersecurity course, which covers various topics such as ethical hacking, network security, cryptography, and cyber law. In the due course of time, the students will learn the necessary skills and knowledge to tackle cyber threats of all sorts and will actively be a part of strengthening India’s cybersecurity.

The impact of the program has been far from ordinary. Sood Charity Foundation has received over 20,000 applications from students across the country already. It speaks volumes about the great potential of Indian students which will be harnessed by this program and will create awareness about cybersecurity and the need to stay safe online.

This initiative has got a lot of attention and is being highly appreciated by the industry experts of the cybersecurity community. The program is also being endorsed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

The biggest achievement of this program has also been in creating job opportunities for the students. Scores of students of this course have successfully landed jobs in highly reputed organisations and are leading a life of value and honour. It cannot be stressed enough as how this has changed their life for good and they have become an indispensable resource for the nation.
