Something similar happened when Hearzap, a hearing care solutions brand, announced Sonu Sood brand ambassador.
According to the National Institute of Health, a community-based study targeting people across age groups reported the prevalence of hearing loss between 6% and 26.9%, compared to the prevalence of hearing disability percentage between 4.5% and 18.3%. Rural areas and elderly showed a higher frequency of hearing impairment. Despite India’s improving health indices, hearing impairment disability remains persistently high.

Besides being a major contributor to the loss of personal potential, hearing impairment is a financial strain for the individual and the nation. A nationwide study across populations to diagnose the degree and type of hearing loss, social awareness campaigns, widespread neonatal screening, strengthening treatment facilities and well-funded rehabilitation programmes can combat the rise of hearing disability.
As a humanitarian and philanthropist with massive influence, Sood’s collaboration with Hearzap is a strategic partnership that will help in awareness raising about hearing impairment disability, among its other purposes. It will make Hearzap’s services more accessible to the masses while promoting the brand as a pioneer of affordability in the healthcare sector.

Selecting Sood as their ‘Ambassador for a Cause’ comes soon after Hearzap’s celebration of the opening of its 100th store, in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. This milestone is part of their expansion journey which aims to establish 250 stores across the country so that hearing aids and support can be accessed by those with hearing impairment disability even in the remote, rural areas.

Through their community health services, Hearzap pursues its objective of educating common people about the serious challenges faced by individuals dealing with speech and hearing disability. Partnering with Sood will facilitate the direct implementation of Hearzap’s extensive outreach programs and public advocacy to empower marginalized sections by providing them quality health care, while reducing the economic barrier thereby making hearing technology more affordable.
