Lights, Camera, Action: A Sneak Peek of Sonu Sood Latest Movie ‘Fateh’
Ranking first in the world in terms of annual film output for several years, the Indian film industry has seen a rise in the popularity of action as a genre in the past few years. Evolving audience preferences for high-adrenaline entertainment alongside technological advancements have enabled filmmakers to draw larger audiences to the theaters.
As we move towards an exciting future for action-packed films, Sonu Sood’s home production Shakti Sagar, alongside Zee Studios, brings ‘Fateh’ to the screens in 2024. What sets this Sonu Sood upcoming movie apart is that it is also his directorial and writing debut.
Set to be one of the most anticipated Indian movies this year, the Sonu Sood new movie ‘Fateh’ is an action thriller. On being asked about the movie at the onset of its filming, Sonu had admitted, “It’s going to be tedious, but super worth it. I’m also looking forward to mastering some never seen before high octane action scenes.”
The Sonu Sood latest movie ‘Fateh’ has fans eagerly awaiting his return to the silver screen in an action-driven role. With Sood and Jacqueline Fernandes in lead roles, the Fateh movie cast includes some of Hollywood’s notable names such as stunt expert Lee Whittaker. Both Jacqueline and Sood have taken several workshops and have even been coached by ethical hackers and action choreographers during the course of filming, ensuring that it registers itself as a top-notch box office hit.
Addressing a pressing under the theme of cybercrime, Sood’s latest venture is based on true events. Dubbed as the National Hero of India, Sonu Sood disclosed that during the course of undertaking his charitable initiatives during the COVID-19 lockdown, he encountered instances of fraudsters exploiting his goodwill to deceive people.
“The idea for ‘Fateh’ came into my mind when I was helping people and came to know that many people were being fooled and cheated in my name. They were given false loans, promises to meet me or to get any sort of help from my team during a pandemic,” he revealed.
He became concerned when he discovered that numerous people, especially those in remote areas were being conned through phishing tools.
“It was then I realized that this cybercrime is a big issue in our country. It is very important to take action on it. Thus the journey of ‘Fateh’, the film I am doing, started from this experience.”
Sonu’s Instagram post from April 14 informs that the writing, research and preparations for the movie took over a period of three years. Moreover, it has been shot internationally in the filming locations of Punjab in India, San Francisco in the USA, Russia, and Poland hence, promising the audience a visual treat.
Taking a glimpse at the Sonu Sood movie list, the several hits delivered by Sood include ‘Yuva’, ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne’, ‘Jodhaa Akbar’, ‘Dabangg’, ‘Shootout at Wadala’, ‘R.. Rajkumar’, ‘Happy New Year’ and ‘Simmba’. The Sood Charity Founder has also established his acting prowess in Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada films besides Hindi movies.
As the movie approaches its release, the makers have also dropped its teaser on social media, adding to the fans’ excitement. Sonu also recently took to his Instagram handle to share some behind-the-scenes moments from an apparent edit room.
